Symposium/Convention Student Leadership Scholarship
This scholarship will be awarded to two (2) NSH student members, to attend the NSH Symposium/Convention, September 20-25
th in New Orleans, LA. Recipients of this scholarship will be individuals interested in developing their leadership skills, both in the laboratory and within the NSH organization.
The scholarship will cover registration costs, travel, hotel, and per diem food costs for recipients for 6 nights of the Convention.
The purpose of this scholarship is to cultivate leader growth of the future generations of the histology profession and NSH as the field’s professional Society.
Application Process
Scholarship Recipient Expectations:
As recipient of this scholarship, the student will be expected to attend specified workshops at the Symposium/Convention, as well as workshops of their choosing. The student will attend specified NSH governance and membership meetings, to understand and get involved with the Society. After attending, the student will be required to write an article for NSH In Action about their trip, which must be submitted by October 4th to the student’s professor and NSH. Scholarship Applicant Criteria:
- Must be an NSH student member
- Must demonstrate an interest in leadership development
- Must demonstrate an interest in developing and advancing their involvement with NSH
